ValoChem offers its customers R&D services to develop tailor-made innovative additives depending on your own specifications. Our expertise in polymer and material chemistry enables us to design, formulate, characterize and supply the right additive for you. In this way, we help our customers to validate their proofs of concept in their own applications.

Our researchers have strong skills in several fields :

• The formulation of polymer modified bitumen and bitumen emulsion
• The optimisation of your formulation process, from the exact dosage of additives on a laboratory scale to the minimum maturation time on an industrial scale
• The characterization of bituminous binders following european and national specifications.

In all cases, our approach is based on a precise understanding of structure-properties-performance relationships, enabling us to optimize the formulation according to process specifications (viscosity, shearing, curing time, etc. ) and expected technical performances.

Our new facilities in Sathonay-Camp, in the north of Lyon, have given us a new laboratory of over 100m2 to enhance our technical expertise. The investment in a range of analysis and formulation equipment has enabled us to be fully independent in the complete study of our technical projects and to continue to improve and train over time.
