Latex for paving application

They are mainly used to manufacture polymer modified bitumen emulsion:

• Microsurfacing
• Surface dressing
• Tack coats
• Jet Patching

Using latex makes it possible to avoid the use of Polymer modified Bitumen (PmB), and thus:

• A tank dedicated to storage of modified bitumen is no longer necessary
• Emulsion temperature at the end of the colloid mill is reduced
• Productivity and flexibility are improved
• Safety of users is higher since use of fluxant can be avoided

In case of heavy duty application that requires extreme level of modification, coupling latex and Polymer modified Bitumen may be the solution.
